My website moved, now Sendy is not sending emails

edited August 2020 in Troubleshooting

I hadn't used Sendy for a while, as I had been in the process of migrating my website to Wordpress. I ended up not liking it and moved back to the old version of the website, but on a new IP address. I migrated Sendy in to the new server. All of my lists, past campaigns, etc. are still there. I regenerated my AWS IAM access code for Sendy. I set everything up, Sendy recognizes my AWS account (which is not in Sandbox mode), I set up a campaign, and it says it's preparing to send, then just sits there and hangs - no emails are sent out.

I've tried everything I can think of, and no progress. Any suggestions?

  • Hi,

You'd need you re-setup your cron jobs on your new server.

Visit http://your_sendy_installation_url/reset-cron.php to clear the false positive that cron jobs have been setup. You'll then see the cron job setup instructions in a yellow box at the 'Define recipients' page (the page where you select lists to send to).

Follow the instructions to setup the cron job.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Ben
