How do autoresponders work?

edited April 2014 in Using Sendy

After adding one autoresponder, I noticed that I no longer have the ability to add an autoresponder to a list - and a message shows up saying "All autoresponders have been created."

I was curious if you could clarify how autoresponders worked. Can there only be one autoresponder per list? If there are multiple autoresponders per list, can a contact be subscribed to just one or the other autoresponders?

Please excuse my ignorance and thank you in advance for any help.

You can only create 1 Drip Campaign. In the Drip Campaign, you can create a series of emails to be sent between intervals you set. It doesn't make sense if you can create 2 Drip Campaigns as 1 Drip Campaign is enough for a series of emails.

The other 2 types of 'Autoresponders' are 'Send once on date' and 'Send annually'. As long as you have a 'date based custom' field for that list, you can create either of those types of Autoresponders.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Ben
