Internal Server error when importing records

I got this server error when importing 14k records. Shrank the file down to 5k records and it imported ok. Now importing 7k records and the error is displaying again. Presuming it's a script timeout, have you used set_time_limit() in the coding? If so, can it be increased?

In the meantime, can I just re-attempt the upload and let the script detect the duplicates - only importing the unique records??

Hi Will, yes your server is timing out.

If your host allows, you can edit the .htaccess file to increase max timeout, increase max upload size etc.

Just to add - I don't think it is timing out, just imported 6k and it displayed the server error page but all records imported..

If you imported 5k previously and it was ok, then there's no issue with Sendy. A lot have to do with your server memory, upload and timeout restrictions.
