Emails doesn't send with SMTP

edited October 2014 in Troubleshooting

I am using Mailgun. All credentials are correct and when I send mails, they are not being received, though sendy says Sent. I also check spam folder. Test mails also are not being received.

  • Hi,

Please check with your host if they restrict sending of emails via third party SMTP. Some hosts restricts sending emails via third party SMTP.

Also doubly ensure that your SMTP credentials are correct.

    Best regards,
    Ben

  • I checked with IPage, my hosting. They told me they dont restrict third party SMTP sending. Also, I have double checked my SMTP credentials. But still Sendy is not delivering the emails, even though it shows the campaign as "Sent". Please advise what to do..

  • What is the SMTP port you're using (587 or 465)? And are you using SSL or TLS?

  • 465 and TLS.. I didn't fine SSL in the drop down...

  • You should use SSL for port 465, not TLS.

  • Now fixed.. Thank u!
