Hello translators!

Sendy now includes translation support. You can safely translate the whole of Sendy without worrying about future updates overwriting them. Translating is also easy, just follow this guide http://sendy.co/translation

If you're going to translate Sendy into a particular language, you can do so at anytime. Or, check the translation category in this forum to see if anyone has started translation into your language. If so, I encourage you to reply the user's thread to request to "co-translate" Sendy. You can even PM each other or request for each other's email to communicate and send files. This will lead to a higher quality translation.

If no one has started translating into your language and you have translated it yourself, consider starting a new thread with a download link to your translation file to share it with others.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Ben

Thanks, Ben. The first translation into Russian posted to the corresponding thread. I think it will be corrected/updated, along with the whole interface.

I would also like to ask, whether I can get sources of "Get Started", to translate it, too (with possible replacement of Sendy's interface screenshots; AWS screenshots aren't available in all the languages, no need to translate).

Sendy's website (which includes the Get Started Guide) isn't available for translation at the moment though, sorry about that!

  • OK. What if I make the replacement 'Get Started', as a separate file (.pdf/.html) - will it be possible to include as a part of Translations?

(tested the Sendy a few minutes ago - works smoothly, save those small translation gaps)

    Thanks.

  • Hi Ben, just to let you know: we just completed the first version of the german translation, the link is posted in the thread as requested.

  • Thanks @peter, I appreciate it!

  • I could do an en-gb translation, but having a quick look through it's only a couple of personalize to personalise changes.

  • I made the translation to Portuguese (Brasil). Do you want the files?

  • Hello everyone, the Spanish translation for version 1.1.9.5 is available on the thread into the translation category

Hola a todo el mundo, la traducción al español de la versión 1.1.9.5 está disponible en su hilo, dentro de la categoría translation.

    :-)

  • FYI. The translation category link further up gives internal error 500.

  • Yes, I can confirm. http://sendy.co/categories/translation is giving a 500 Internal server error.

@ggmedia @angelsguitar Clicking on the 'Translation' link on the left sidebar didn't give me a 500 error though. The link is https://sendy.co/forum/categories/translation (with https).

OK. I figured what the problem is: The links to the translation category on your original post have an error. They link to http://sendy.co/categories/translation, when in fact the correct link is https://sendy.co/forum/categories/translation (the "forum"part is missing from the links). May I suggest you edit them in case someone else tries to access the translation category by using those links? Thanks for your help, Ben.

  • Thanks @angelsguitar, I've made the changes to the original post.

  • Hi Ben ... i would like to contribute. Where can i upload the file (Portuguese pt-PT)? Regards

  • In the original post, you mentioned you would create a page dedicated to downloading the language files. Is that available?

    Thanks

  • I've created a Zantana project to manage the translations. You'll find it at https://translate.zanata.org/project/view/sendy. I also created a new topic in the translation category to gather the translators.

  • Hello friends. I am using sendy 2.1.2.8, I need a Vietnamese translation, can you please give me. Thanks

  • Email của tôi là: info@bkhost.vn

  • Dear all,

I just created a public translation project at POEditor.com.
Please visit https://poeditor.com/join/project/ley9dVrDmD if you are interested in participating with translation into your language.

    Best regards,

This is a project I'll be maintaining to keep spanish translation file always updated to latest version.

  • I want to keep all the admin in English and change in another language only the frontend (messages appears to subscribers, unsubscribed succesfully...).
Can someone point me how can I fast find only the frontend variables so I can translate them?
    thank you!
