WYSIWYG editor strips off styles and tags?

edited January 2013 in Suggestions
The WYSIWYG Editor seems to strip off inline style and and tags once changes are being made or new text is being pasted into the editor.
What's left is just plain tags without any style.
Anyway to resolve this?

Hi, the WYSIWYG editor does strip off tags (html, head tags). That's why we put a warning beside the 'Turn on WYSIWYG editor' button:

If this is breaking your layout, turn off the WYSIWYG editor:

  • The problem is without the WYSIWYG editor, my users are unable to edit the newsletter as they are not well-versed in HTML.
Hopefully this can be resolved with a templating system where the users will only need to edit the Editable Region instead of editing the whole HTML template. Hope this is on the roadmap.
