Limit upload size and bandwidth used per client per month

edited February 2013 in Suggestions

Hi Ben,

Sending few mbs of attachments to few hundred thousand recipients frequently can prove to be quite expensive.

Would you be introducing features to limit attachment size ( or allow main admin to set limits ) or have daily/weekly/monthly bandwidth quota set for each client?

  • Hi @yaoquan,

You made a good point. Limiting attachment size is a good suggestion and will be implemented soon.

I'm moving this thread to suggestions category.

  • Maybe allow bandwidth used by clients to be calculated/recorded in a way so that clients can request for more bandwidth if their quota is hit.

Has this been implemented? Total upload limit is essential to not letting a client crash the server. Thank you.

I don't mind so much the bandwidth, but max file size (5mb) and max total files like (100mb) would be excellent. Maybe each client should have their own sub directory in uploads they have access to?
