The ability to upload csv files of subscribers from a remote host
I use Drupal and Magento quite a bit and am able to automate the creation of users to csv files on those domain.
It might be quite good if we could specify a remote location in the Sendy backend where such a csv file lives. Then when Drupal (et al) update that file with new users cron could go fetch it and process it.

Wouldn't it be better if you can make Drupal and/or Magento send users directly to your Sendy installation by connecting through Sendy's API rather than send users to a CSV?
I guess that you are right, but my problem stems from the fact that I have a good understanding of how drupal modules work, but very little expertise with programming in php. Which means that integrating your api is beyond me!
We actually just have a simple MySQL query in a PHP script that pulls users from one database into Sendy's. Works great.
Regarding Magento integration, here is a Sendy integration for Magento extension that was just released. Supports Magento 1.3+ http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/catalog/product/view/id/19978/s/sendy-newsletter-integration-for-magento/
