Send AR emails based on when the last email was sent

edited May 2013 in Suggestions

Hi,
Do you have any plans to allow us to send email in an AR sequence based on when the last email was sent rather than when the subscriber signed up?

  • Hi Mark,

I had no plans and haven't thought about that. Right now, basing the Drip Campaign sequence on date of signup makes sense.

    Eg.

    1. User signs up
    2. Receives first email
    3. Receives subsequent emails until the last

    Thanks.

  • Hi ben,

What happen when you add 2 or 3 more emails to the autoresponder series further down the line?

If you have the ability to send x days after the previous then they will get sent in order BUT if you say set them to go out 10 days after signup, 15 days after signup and then 20 days after signup if the subscriber has been on the list for 6 weeks they won't get them.

Only subscribers who are still within your stipulated timeframe in the series receives your next email in the "add on" series.

I understand what you mean. But there are caveats that comes with sending drip campaign emails based on last email sent. Eg. let's say you decide to add on a couple of emails after half a year, you want all subscribers in the list to receive the next email in the "add on" series of emails. Some subscribers could be 6 months old and may have forgotten or not interested in receiving your emails anymore and could mark your emails as spam. Receiving the next autoresponder email from you after 6 months could be ineffective and may not even make sense anymore compared to new subscribers who receive your entire series within your stipulated interval.
