Backslashes prepended in apostrophes in subject line

We recently upgraded Sendy to 1.1.6.3 and not we cannot add an apostrophe without getting a backslash after saving. Can someone explain how to correct, or id this is a known issue with the newest version.

Example:
Hidden Lake\\'s & Lowville Newsletter | Edit

    Hi @seekmomentum,

    That's because magic_quotes_gpc is turned on for PHP. You need to turn it off.
