Sending rate basic question

My sending rate depends on the capability of my server? Its says 14 messages per second. My server have nothing to do with this? or it depends on my server?

Can someone explain me what exactly amazon ses is really giving me? Sorry I'm super new to this.

    Hi,

    Your Amazon SES quota shows you your 'Send rate', for yours it's 14 emails per second. Sendy will send your email newsletters according to this sending rate. The actual sending speed depends on several factors, please see → https://sendy.co/troubleshooting#sending-speed to learn about sending speed.
