Upgrading from http to https

edited June 2016 in Questions

I am upgrading from http to https and had a couple of questions. First - assuming I rewrite http requests to https I presume tracking etc will still work fine for older links that were sent when Sendy was on http only. Can anyone confirm that please?

Second question is can I update an existing SNS topic endpoint from http to https or do I need to recreate it?

Many thanks.

  • Hi,

Yes, tracking will still work if you rewrite http requests to https.

You'd need to delete the SNS subscriptions that has the 'http' endpoints and re-add new SNS subscriptions with 'https' endpoints for both 'bounces' and 'complaints' topics.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,

  • Thank you Ben. PS - just wanted to say we've been using Sendy for a few years now and it's awesome.

  • Thanks for letting me know and thank YOU for using Sendy! :)
