What's the difference between using Amazon's access credentials VS SMTP credentials

edited February 2017 in Using Sendy

We use Amazon SES's SMTP credentials to send emails for our customers in our main application. Can't we just use smtp credentials in Sendy instead of access credentials. What will we miss in this case?

    Hi,

If you let Sendy send emails via Amazon SES using "SMTP credentials", your campaign will not use multi-threading to send the emails.

When you use Amazon’s 'access credentials’ or 'IAM credentials', your campaign will be sent using multi-threading according to your SES send rate as Sendy uses Amazon SES ‘API’ to send the emails. As a result sending speed is a ton faster.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Ben
