Stop robots from subscribing
Hi all
For the last 3 days I'm having about 20 new subscribers per hour, all coming from some kind of robot, names are something like 5909f4d180047. I use a double-opt-in list so they're unconfirmed and the only problem is that it's cluttering my subscribers' database.
Is there an easy way to avoid this? I'm using the list's subscribing form, could I add a "tick if you're human" ticking box or something similar to it?
Many thanks in advance

Hi,
You can certainly build your own custom subscription form with Sendy’s API (https://sendy.co/api) add a ‘CAPTCHA' to alleviate this.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Ben
Hi Ben
Thank you for your message, after trying few different things I've managed to sort it out using this link you recommended on another post in the forum: http://www.nfriedly.com/techblog/2009/11/how-to-build-a-spam-free-contact-forms-without-captchas/
I changed the subscribe.php file with Vith's suggestion on this post: https://sendy.co/forum/discussion/161/lots-of-spam-signups-on-double-opt-in-list/p1
I can't understand why this isn't implemented by default, but I'm glad I got it sorted.
Thanks again for your reply.
