Sending campaigns via third party SMTP

edited May 2017 in Troubleshooting

Hi,

I'm using Sendy with a standard SMTP server (not the AWS account). When I set up my newsletter and test it, I receive it on every email address I'm trying (i can see as well traces in /var/log/mail.log).

But when i'm sending the newsletter to a small list, it goes from 0% to 100% slowly without any issues. But there is not a single line in the logs about this campaign, i'm not getting the newsletter (i'm included in the list), i just receive at the end the mail saying "Your campaign has been sent!". After a while, if i'm checking the report, i can see that no-one has open the newsletter ...

How can i fix that ? I'm clueless.

Thanks,

CM/.

  • Hi,

Please check with your host if they restrict sending of emails via third party SMTP. Some hosts restricts sending emails via third party SMTP.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,

  • OK, i've re-installed Sendy and it seems to works now. Don't know what happened.
