Remove unsubscribe link from header in Gmail?

edited March 2018 in Questions

Hi

I just set up DKIM verification so the header no longer says "via amazonses", but that's now been replaced by an "Unsubscribe" link. Is there any way of removing that from the header (where it's currently next to the sender) into the message body?

Many thanks in advance!

Todd

    Hi,

but that's now been replaced by an "Unsubscribe" link.

Some email clients, like Gmail for example, appends an ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the top, so that users can unsubscribe from your newsletter if they want to instead of clicking ‘Mark as spam’.

The ‘Unsubscribe’ link is automatically displayed by email clients like Gmail. It can’t be removed and it is meant to lower your ‘complaint’ rate. If your complaint rate goes above 1%, Amazon will suspend your account. So it is good to have the ‘Unsubscribe’ link appear right at the header of the email newsletters you send.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Ben
