Campaigns showing 0 emails opened (while not true)

edited March 2019 in Troubleshooting

Hello,

my sendy installation stopped tracking emails opened in campaigns (while clicked ones work correctly).

I've upgraded my vps to WHM/cPanel 78.0.11, EasyApache from version 3 to 4 (which also means Apache 2.4, PHP7.2). I've currently installed PHP5.6 and 7.2. I've also tried different versions, but they all stopped working.

AllowOverride is correctly set to All in Apache Configuration.

Any help here?

Thanks,
Valerio

    Hi,

Please ensure the .htaccess file in your Sendy directory is Sendy's original .htaccess file and it is not modified.

You can download Sendy from https://sendy.co/get-updated to compare the .htaccess with the one in your Sendy directory.

Lastly, try sending a test email in your Amazon SES console (not in Sendy) and see if Amazon had “paused” your sending:

    Example screenshot:

If you see an error message that says your Amazon SES account sending has been “paused", please search your inbox as well as spam folder for Amazon’s email. See what's the reason Amazon paused sending for your Amazon SES account, then respond to it to reinstate your account. For more information on this, please see http://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/e-faq.html

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Ben

  • Hello!

I can confirm the .htaccess is the correct one, unmodified.
Also: no issues in the SES account (it wasn't paused).

    Anything else I can check?
    Thanks,
    Valerio

  • Hi,

I suggest re-uploading Sendy to make sure all necessary files are uploaded:

    1. Download a copy of Sendy from https://sendy.co/get-updated with your license key (use the form at the top left of the page to download Sendy).

    2. Then re-upload all of Sendy's files to your server (except /includes/config.php and /uploads/ folder) replacing the old ones.

Make sure all necessary files are uploaded.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Ben

  • Thanks, it worked.

Not sure how it's possible though :)
