Internal server error when saving list settings

When I try to save list settings I get a 500 error.

I tried to add a mod_security thing to my root htaccess file but I'm not savvy enough to know if I'm doing it right. Can somebody help me figure this out please?

    Hi,

    1. Try checking with your hosting provider to see if mod_security is enabled for your server, if so, try turning it off to see if it is the reason why you are getting a 500 error
    2. Try checking your server's error_log to see if there are any possible errors related to this.

    OK so I emailed my server, and they have fixed this - apparently they "noticed the internal firewall was blocking some of the
    site's requests which I am afraid was causing the 500 errors" - so that's sorted now! Yaay!
