Unopened = Bounced?
Hello Ben,
I noticed some of the 'unopened' are actually 'fake' or 'erroneous' emails (e.g. domain@gnai.com).
However, they weren't included in the 'bounced' batch, thus they would have continued to be part of the valid email addresses for my next mass email or autoresponder.
Is there a way of preventing this from happening, other than manually?
Thanks,
Francisco

Hi,
Emails marked as 'bounced' in your list are marked by Amazon through Amazon SNS notifications to your Sendy 'bounces' endpoint. When an email bounced, the email is invalid or does not exist. Amazon is the one deciding if an email is marked as bounced, not Sendy. Sendy only receives notifications from Amazon SNS when an email is marked as bounced then registers it in your Sendy list(s) accordingly. If you think there're any discrepancies in the bounces, please post your question on Amazon SES forum ? https://forums.aws.amazon.com/forum.jspa?forumID=90
Alternatively, you can use one of the following online tools to scrub your list clean of invalid emails:

http://www.email-checker.com
http://www.datavalidation.com
http://briteverify.com

Thanks.
Best regards,
Ben
