Ignore subscription status of emails from other lists

I have a list of 50 people that I need to send an email to about a purchase that they made. However, on 44 users are getting added to the list. Why is there not a feature that forces the user into a list regardless of their status from another list. I have many different email lists for my customers. They could be subscribed to one and not others. Its very frustrating that when I want to create a new list, I cannot add the people that I need. Or am I overlooking something?

If you want to ignore the 'subscription status' of emails you import into the list, visit the list settings and change the 'unsubscribe settings' to 'only this list'.
