confirmation_link is not clickable in some email clients. How to create a fully formatted link?

edited April 2018 in Troubleshooting

Hello,
When using Sendy's default double-optin email, or creating my own as below, the confirmation_link resolves to an unclickable (inactive) link in some email programs such as Thunderbird. I suspect that this is because it is part of an html-email, but it isn't syntactically a link (href..).

Example Mail:

Hi!
Thanks for subscribing to our email list.
Please confirm your subscription by clicking the link below:

[confirmation_link]

Resolves to:

Hi!
Thanks for subscribing to our email list.
Please confirm your subscription by clicking the link below:

But the link is only clickable in some email clients. I suspect this is because it isn't really a formatted href-link.
(I changed the domain and the listID):

Note: Links created with "href" in the double-optin mail become active!

Question: How to create a fully formatted confirmation link, preferably using my own anchor text, such as CLICK HERE TO CONFIRM?

Note: In the Thank You mail, the unsubscribe link created with becomes perfectly clickable.

Thank you very much for your help.
