Should Custom Fields Display in Newsletter Preview?
I have some custom fields added for my customers but when viewing the newsletter preview they are not displaying. Unsubscribe links, emails are working properly but the custom fields are not showing in the preview. Is this normal behavior or should custom fields show even in the preview mode? Obviously this is dependent on the subscriber info but I didn't know if I should be seeing a placeholder or something.
I'm using the format [customfieldname,fallback=] as defined in the list settings. This is in the html version.

There are no known bugs with personalization tags.
Is your fallback empty when you tested?

Can you make custom fileds to display first contact information so it would be easy to check if the custom fileds work?

fallback=
