Confirmation for unsubscribe?

edited December 2019 in Troubleshooting

Hi, getting great deliverables on testing gmail, outlook/hotmail, yahoo mail, nice application Ben.

However, sending to office365 outlook accounts with any form of unsubscribe tags in the email body immediately unsubscribe the subscriber!

I though maybe the email filter sandbox is clicking on the unsubscribe link, who knows or as I read somewhere the host outlook is doing it?

Anyway, is there anyway to create a unsubscribe page and a link in the emails like"click here to unsub" that pharses ECHO the unique subscriber ID to that page, then they could click the link on that page avoiding the email host "clicking" on the unsub link. Sorry I don't code PHP otherwise might know if this is possible.

Many Thanks

  • Hi,

Thanks for using Sendy. Glad that you're liking it so far. :)

You can set 'Double opt-out' in your list settings so that it is required to click a link on the unsubscribe page before a user is finally unsubscribed.

    To access list settings:

    1. Go to 'View all lists' on the left sidebar
    2. Click the pencil icon on the list item to edit its settings

Or click 'List settings' at the top right of the page when inside a list:

Then under 'Unsubscribe settings', set the 'Unsubscribe behavior' to 'Double Opt-Out':

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Ben

  • Thanks Ben that works, didn't realise that feature was there!
