Housekeeping feature time period?

edited December 2019 in Using Sendy

Is there a time period of sorts that inactive subscribers need to fall into in order to be inactive? For example, is someone who just subscribed say, a few days ago, and they've yet to open an email, on that inactive list?

My concern is that we'll be getting rid of a lot of subscribers that are fresh and might've not opened anything yet. Or do they have to be inactive for a certain amount of time before falling into the inactive list?

Thanks!

  • Hi Carl,

'Inactive subscribers' are those who did not open or click any campaigns that you have ever sent to them. There is no time period.

If a subscriber is fresh and have not been sent a single campaign before, they won't fall under the 'Inactive' category.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Ben

  • Got it, thanks! If we wanted to get rid of subscribers who haven't been active before a certain time, we could just create a segment and then unsubscribe those people in that segment?

  • Yes you can create a segment, then export the CSV. Then use the CSV to mass unsubscribe from the list.
