Perhaps you can help. I installed sendy on digitalocean and it's working fine (i am still testing)
But, i installed it on ubuntu 12.10 which has updates until april 2014 and not 12.04 (has updates until 2017).
Would you recommend downgrading to 12.04 ?
Since a client will use it and not me directly, i don't want to take the chance of looking bad in front of the client in a few months...

You can stay on 12.10 as I don't think it will affect anything for at least some time.
