Setting Up Sendy For A Client - Multiple Amazon Accounts Needed?

edited August 2013 in Using Sendy

Sorry if this seems a bit backwards.
I'm going to be buying a license for a client next week and will be installing it on their domain so they can send what they like, when they like.

I want to charge them per send.
I know i can put my paypal email into the settings of their installation, but if the client screws up and gets blocked by Amazon, how do I stop this affecting my Amazon SES account.

Will i need to set up another Amazon account with another bank account that is solely for that client's sends?

Has anyone does this yet?

Many thanks.

  • Hi @Calvin_T,

If you're worried that your client will send spam and cause your Amazon SES account to be suspended, there are 2 things you can consider:

    1. Ask your client where the source of their list are from, make sure they aren't sending to a purchased list or an extremely old list. Ultimately, be careful who you give access to.
    2. Signup for another AWS account with another credit card (but I don't think it's feasible to do this for every new client)

    Best regards,
    Ben
