It's 2019 and there's been reply about this feature.
I will add my question to this thread so it can benefit others regarding this feature.
What is the personalisation tag I can put in the footer of my newsletters so that a user can see all the lists they are subscribed to and manage them as well as editing their name? How does a user manage their subscriptions?
Also what is the url for the profile page and where can that be customised so it does not look Sendy default?
Hmmm... I have just been advised by our outsourced server specialist to move from phpList to Sendy. In a number of ways I am pleased I have. the install & setup process is very slick... But I was surprised that certain features in phpList are missing here. e.g. links for: Forward to A Friend and Manage My Subscription
And not so important but still (I think) done better in phpList: Templates that are really just newsletter skeletons with placeholders for [content] and [footers] .. where footers are a bit like templates, set & forget, and content is pasted into a special field when creating a campaign.
Further to my earlier comment ... I have just done stats on numbers of people who subscribed to my newsletter via the "Forward to a Friend" option where in phpList the "Friend" can click a link to Subscribe. The % of those who subscribed that way is around 15%. Quite worthwhile.
Agreed this is critically important. if we cannot give clients the ability to control relevant content then they'll hit the master switch and kill their subscription entirely.
Ive been using eNewsletter Pro for MANY years (http://www.enewsletterpro.com), over a decade.
They decided not to continue the application anymore. Shame, its incredibly powerful and flexible.
Only reason to switch is its now limited lifespan (no DKIM) and that of my aging 2008R2 server.
Forward to a Friend feature would be nice BUT whats WAY more important is the ability for Subscribers to "View and Manage" their subscription.
My email footers always contain the ability for subscribers to remove themselves from "this" specific list they received it from and then to "manage their Subscription" Also a "Global Optout List" link to remove them from ALL lists forever. And I cant tell you how many times ive gotten requests to put people back onto such-n-such list(s) because they hastily removed themselves from ALL lists.
I have multiple Trade Magazine Titles.
Every title has MANY lists based on different newsletter topics, announcements and offers.
I have nearly 200,000 subscribers.
"Update my profile" is very much needed but Id imagine the issue is passwords for subscribers.
on a side note. Why is the default list field FULL NAME and EMAIL. Who the hell ever uses a FULL NAME field?
I require ALL subscribers to give FirstName, LastName and Email.
Yes, this is vital. I am right now using a form and manually going through but people are sending it through multiple times or subscribing/unsubscribing multiple times.Any ETA?
If you don't require a name or certain custom fields it would be nice to let the subscriber change their mind and edit those later.
Related: I don't know if this should be done with segments, lists or something else. I want to offer a general newsletter, some public newsletters with a specific topic and some private ones. Anyone can sign up to and unsubscribe from public newsletters, but only the brand owner (manual or via an API) can add subscribers to private newsletters (for example, customers that bought product X), while the subscribers can only unsubscribe.
It sounds a little confusing but it doesn't have to be for the end user. They click a manage subscriptions link, they see what lists they're signed up for, they can unsubscribe each or all, and they can subscribe to any public newsletter list they haven't yet.
Especially for me: the ability of users to update their profile and change custom fields, which we use for list segmentation. (e.g. "I am no longer interested in product A; only send me info about product B; etc.)

Yes "Forward to a friend" would be a great feature.
Update my profile + Unsubscription form will be great!
Hope we can see it in a near future!
+1 for the user profile subscription management.
Bump.
Any update on this?..
+1 update my profile
+1 update my profile
+1 update my profile
We hope to see this feature in one of the next releases, as most other mail marketing tools have it.
It could be implemented as a registration form whose url contains the hashed user-id, to load the user-field contents, right?
@Ben: It is on your list since 2012, is there something blocking it?

Important missing feature, this thread is nearly 8 years old now. Are this still in the plans?

Agreed. We manage a LOT of lists (around 80) and desperately need a way for users to see/manage their list subscriptions.

The 'Forward' feature would be incredibly useful.
Users updating their own profile would be so useful!
Any updates on it at all?
+1 for this!
+1 For Forward To Friend, Please!
