Questions about click tracking in Sendy

edited January 2022 in Questions

Hello,

1) What is the difference between the ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐ž and ๐“๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ columns in the link activity?

2) We have two different URL being tracked. The URLs represent feedback to a newsletter where subscribers clicked if they liked or disliked the newsletter.

However, we are getting an overlap of subscribers listed on the CSV export files for these two URLs.

For example, all the subscribers who clicked dislike are also found in the list of users who clicked liked. This does not make sense.

Any suggestions?

Please help.
Thanks.

  • Hi,

    1) What is the difference between the ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐ž and ๐“๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ columns in the link activity?

โ€˜Unique' means how many people. โ€˜Totalโ€™ means the total number of clicks.

For example 2 unique person clicked one or more links 10 times.

    Unique clicks: 2
    Total clicks: 10

    2) We have two different URL being tracked. The URLs represent feedback to a newsletter where subscribers clicked if they liked or disliked the newsletter.
However, we are getting an overlap of subscribers listed on the CSV export files for these two URLs.
For example, all the subscribers who clicked dislike are also found in the list of users who clicked liked. This does not make sense.

That means a number of users clicked both links. They probably wasnโ€™t serious about the survey and clicked both links to see what happens, or for whatever other reasons. The fact is that one person can click more than one link in an email.

    Best regards,
    Ben
