Using custom variables in the body of email

Hi all, I have created a unique code for my clients to use as a voucher/discount code. I want to email them to tell them their code, but I can't seem to get the code to "dereference" in the email body.

How can I use it? [code] or [[code]] don't work and I don't see any other entry relating to this anywhere.

Hi,

If your custom field's name is 'code', the tag to use in the body of your email is [code,fallback=]. Not [code] or [[code]].

In the custom field page, the correct way to use them as personalization tags is shown on screen.
