Personalization tags in the subject line of an email

Just wondering if I can put a Personalization tags in the subject line? I tried and it is just ignored, but surely this is possible and I am just doing something wrong or have missed something obvious?

    Hi,

    Yes, you can use personalization tags in the subject line.

    If the personalization tag does not convert to the correct value, you may be using the personalization tag incorrectly.

    For example, if the custom field that you're going to use as personalization tag is TransactionNo, the correct tag should be [TransactionNo,fallback=] and not [TransactionNo].

    Hi Ben,

    Ah, I see what I did, I sent a test email instead of sending to a list that had actual recipients on it ( all me as it is a test campaign) I knew I must have done something wrong. Der.
