Installation on Windows with Apache 2.4 successful

edited November 2013 in Using Sendy

Hi all, I know that Sendy is not officially supported on the Windows platform. I just wanted to drop by and send this note in case there are potential customers who would be really helped by this software, but are hesitant to buy because of the Windows limitation.

I was able to successfully install Sendy on Windows 2008 R2 that runs an instance of Apache 2.4. So far, everything works perfectly, and we are pleased with how easy to use the interface is and are sure that our marketing team will be thrilled.

The only hiccup was ensuring that the .htaccess file would be processed by Apache, and that was a simple matter of adding 'AllowOverride All' in an appropriate Directory directive. This is a common hiccup in Apache web application installations, so if you're familiar with Apache, this shouldn't be a problem at all.
