What is the purpose of the embed video link in the WYSIWYG editor menu?

Just curious if I am missing something here but my understanding was that video couldn't be played in email. I did a test using embed code from an S3/Cloudfront RTMP stream with HTML5 fallback and nothing comes through in the email but the video shows in the online "view in your browser" version. Is there a way to put video in the actual email and have it play?

    Just ignore the embed video button for now. :) most email clients are still very backwards and doesn't support videos.
