Testing 'bounced' emails

I added erroneous email addresses to a list so to see if bounced mails are detected but it seems to be not working. Could you explain a bit how does this functionality works?

    If you want to test if your bounces setup is working, use these Amazon Mailbox Simulator emails to test:

    bounce@simulator.amazonses.com (for bounces)
    complaint@simulator.amazonses.com (for complaints)

    Create a list and add the above 2 email addresses inside. Then send a campaign to the list. If both emails are marked as ‘bounced’ and ‘marked as spam’ respectively, then your setup is working. Otherwise, please go through Step 7 and Step 8 of the Get Started Guide (http://sendy.co/get-started) completely and do not miss anything.
