Parse error when importing CSV list

Hello,
When trying to upload a CSV list I receive this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /.../.../public_html/sendy/includes/subscribers/import-update.php on line 1

I have checked the import-update.php file for data corruption and everything seems to be ok.

    Thanks for the FTP credentials.

    Your /includes/subscribers/import-update.php file is corrupted (although you mentioned it's not):

    If you're using FileZilla, switch to binary mode and re-upload the file.

    I use Dreamweaver and did not see the file as corrupted.
    Would you recommend re-uploading all the sendy files in binary mode?
