I'm not a linux user normally, but I've been roped into helping a friend set up Sendy. We've got a licensed copy of Sendy and I've spun up a micro linux instance on Amazon. I've installed php and apache and ran all updates, copied Sendy to var/www/sendy - could someone give me a step my step guide to getting this working? I've got the amazon apache page appearing http://ec2-54-235-119-200.compute-1.amazonaws.com but I'm not sure if it's a permissions thing as to why I can't go to the sendy pages. Any help?
You should upload Sendy's files to /var/www/html and not /var/www/.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick response. I've moved that folder into /var/www/html , but I'm still not getting any joy. I've got a
http://126.96.36.199/var/www/html/phpinfo.php php info here - and that's not returning either
http://188.8.131.52/var/www/html/sendy/index.php also doesn't respond
You shouldn't include /var/www/html in your URL.
Instead of http://184.108.40.206/var/www/html/phpinfo.php,
it should be
ok, so what's the next step? nearly good to go?
Please note that I cannot provide support for installation and setup of servers, eg. EC2, but I will provide support for Sendy.
You can go ahead and install Sendy, if you any problems just let me know.
