Does Rate Limit take into account emails we're already sending?

edited March 2013 in Questions

We are using SES for all of our transactional emails and have a rate limit of 28/sec. We currently use a baseline of about 1/2 our rate limit. If we start sending newsletters with sendy, will it attempt to send them at a rate of 28 per second, or will it use only our remaining rate limit?

  • Hi @bryan,

Sendy sends according to your SES send rate. If your SES send rate is 28 emails per second, Sendy will send 28 emails per second (actual speed is subjected to your server's ability to finish processing and transfer 28 emails to Amazon SES in 1 second).

    Thanks.

    Ben
