Getting spam bot signups recently

I'm getting many spam subscribers recently with what looks like a valid email but with the name field set to a hex number like this: 57b0fa6673b68

Is enabling double opt-in the solution?

Hi,

Enabling double opt-in is a good solution. Alternatively build your own subscription form (with Sendy's API) that uses some sort of CAPTCHA so that spam bots cannot sign up.
