How to use custom field tags in emails?

edited February 2017 in Using Sendy

We have an excel file with blog name and email of all users.

We want to send custom email to every user. The email text should be same, but the url of their blog keeps on changing in each email (each person receives their own blog url).

How to frame the email and what exactly should be done inside it to fulfil this task?

If there's a tutorial for this too, that would be great as well.

Please help.

Thanks

  • Hi,

    1. Create a new list
    2. Create a custom field in the list and call it ‘URL’
    3. Then prepare your CSV with 3 columns, ‘Name’, ‘Email’ and ‘URL’
    4. Then import this CSV into the list
    5. When you create a campaign, you can use the personalisation tag [URL,fallback=] in your email anywhere you want it to appear, it will be converted into the respective user’s URL when you send the campaign to this list

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Ben
