Sendy uses API or SMTP with Amazon SES?

edited March 2017 in Questions

Hi,

I wanted to buy a VPS server to host Sendy on speedykvm.com hosting provider but they don't allow more than 300 emails / hour using SMTP protocol on their VPS servers. So I want to know if with Amazon SES, Sendy communicates using SMTP protocol or API? Because if it's API i think that I can host with speedykvm without any problem. They just restrict SMTP use.

Thanks

  • Hi,

Sendy sends emails via Amazon SES 'API', not SMTP. So your host's email sending limits does not apply to Sendy.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Ben

  • Thanks for the explanation!
