I'm using sendy on my server since 2 months, it worked perfectly until yesterday when I got the "Outgoing connections blocked" message.
I rebooted the server and this basically fixed the problem for 24h.
Today I got the same problem, rebooted and the problem was fixed again.
I'm having an hard time in understanding what the problem is.
Did someone experience something similar?
The problem is happening on a digital ocean droplet with ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS (with UFW enabled).
Another important thing is that other AWS services get blocked too (we are using elastic and s3)...
Another user who is on PHP 7.0 updated the PHP to version 7.1 and it resolved the issue. Try updating your PHP to 7.1 and see if it resolves this for you.
Thank you Ben. Digital Ocean pointed me to this https://laravel-news.com/dns-resolver-issue and basically told me that the fault was of an ubuntu update, that has been fixed with another update the next day.
