Use of variables and custom fields in subscription email

I really like the introduction of custom variables and fields in a campaign email

It would be even better to add this to the emails for subscribing and unsubscribing to the list via api

Basically -- I want to be able to send out an email when a person is subscribed via api (ie when they purchase my product) and to have access to information such as which product and who they are -- and to provide an unsubscribe link in the "welcome email"

This can now be done in the latest 1.0.9 using autoresponders. This thread will now close.
