Sending a campaign to a test list of 2 recipients. Cron has been setup for 5 min intervals. The other list contains 14k, it's hanging on these 2 for the past 20 minutes with status 'preparing to send'. Should it be taking this long? Thanks.
If you did, Sendy will think that cron is working properly thus enabling you to send by cron. But the fact is that cron isn't setup correctly because the scheduled.php file was run the first time in the browser and not by cron.
If cron is working correctly, cron will execute the sending script to send out any email currently in 'Preparing' mode within the next 5 minutes (because cron was set to run every 5 minutes).
If your email isn't sent after 5 minutes (much less 20 minutes), then cron isn't setup correctly.
Did it send within 5 minutes or did it gave you the impression that it took 20 mins to send? I understand if you previously didn't know how cron sending works, you may feel like 'preparing to send' takes longer than 5 minutes.

It did send in the end.
