Bounces complaints endpoint

Basic question as my bounces/complaints are not working.

Should the sendy directory be in the URL in the Amazon SNS? http://sendy.co/get-started

http://yourdomain/includes/campaigns/bounces.php

or

http://yourdomain/sendy/includes/campaigns/bounces.php.

my sendy installation is in http://yourdomain/sendy

Is there a way to test my bounces/complaints?

    Yes, create a list with these 2 Amazon Mailbox Simulator email addresses inside:

    bounce@simulator.amazonses.com
    complaint@simulator.amazonses.com

    then send a test campaign to the list. If you've setup bounces and complaints correctly, these emails will be marked as "bounced" and "complaint" respectively.

    This is strange. I'm sure i've set everything up correctly.
    I've tested a mail shot with the emails you provided above, checked the Campaign report
    I got the bounce and complaints email which test fine BUT the sendy panel says 'No bounces were registered'

    not sure what's going on :(
    If i send you some details Ben, would you be able to have a check? :)

  • The only difference I can see is the Amazon email has two capital letters in the email and the sendy one doesn't
    Would that make a difference? I thought it may not be caps sensitive as the email verified ok?

    I'm not exactly sure what is the issue but can you upgrade to the latest version first before anything? Then PM me the following details so I can check for you:

    • Sendy installation URL, email and password
    • AWS login credentials

    I'm blushing now. :)

    I've found a number of SNS topics in your SNS console, so I removed the redundant ones.

    I went to your SES console and found that your verified email address has uppercases in them, but the 'From email' in Sendy is all lowercase. Note that your email address is case sensitive, your SES verified email address must match the case of your 'From email' set in your 'From email'.

    I've set your 'From email' in Sendy to the exact one you verified in your SES console (the one with uppercases in them).

    I've also created a list with Amazon's bounces and complaints simulator emails and sent a test campaign to it. Bounces and complaints are registered.

    Ah so case sensitivity was part of the fix- anyone reading make sure you keep cases the same :)

    Really appreicate the support. Sendy is just beautiful - i've recommended it to so many people.
