Amazon SES after 12 months free?

edited September 2015 in Questions

I read Amazon SES is free for 12 months but with limitations.

Unfortunately I can not find more about the limitations.

  • How much emails are we allowed to send per month/day?

And about the costs after those 12 monhts.

    Hi,

Amazon charges a flat fee of $1 per 10,000 emails sent (if you send lesser then the cost will be less than $1 of course). Amazon charges your credit card at the end of the month for any usage of Amazon SES.

The "free tier" that you heard about only applies if you install Sendy on Amazon EC2 cloud server. The first 2,000 emails sent via SES each day that are invoked from an EC2 server are free. This is not just for 12 months, this is perpetual.

    Here's Amazon's post about the free tier → https://sesblog.amazon.com/post/Tx1DYTQWA1UQMLM/The-Amazon-SES-Free-Tier

    Best regards,
    Ben
