AccessDenied even after attaching AmazonSNSFullAccess policy

edited April 2017 in Troubleshooting

After upgrading to version 2.1.2.8 from 2.0.x I get AWS access errors. I deleted and created new Access Keys for the sendy user, I detached and re-attached the AmazonSNSFullAccess policy and even deleted and re-created the sendy user all together, always updating credentials in sendy's settings page.

 Error: AccessDenied
Your Sendy installation is unable to get your SES quota from Amazon because you did not attach "AmazonSESFullAccess" user policy to your IAM credentials. Please re-do Step 5.2 and 5.3 of the Get Started Guide carefully to resolve this error.

  • Hi,

You need to attach BOTH AmazonSESFullAccess AND AmazonSNSFullAccess to your IAM credentials. Please follow the video in Step 5 of the Get Started Guide (https://sendy.co/get-started#step5) very closely.

    Best regards,
    Ben

  • Thanks Ben, I did only have one of the two policies attached. Apologies for the silly mistake and thanks for pointing that out. All working now :) Have a nice day!
