Hi, did you setup cron to send emails? If so, does it run every 5 mins? If cron is setup, sending will auto resume when your server times out. Or, you can click 'Resume' to continue sending.

And I have manually tested a 'resume', checked the database and links aren't inserted more than once.

Strange. When the sending script is executed by cron again to 'resume', links will not be added to the table again. As you can see from the script:
