Ok, many thanks. Have got it working after re-jigging the 'simple subscribe' download available here: https://sendy.co/api

hi @newty
yes, a change of domain name is probably the best option. You could create a domain such as boursorama-parrainage-mail.com, and then migrate/install Sendy to news…

wonder if this database backup could (should?) be built into sendy -- specify a remote S3 (or similar) location for the SQL file, set a schedule and then manually set the cron job.
-
I am not an expert, but the backup can be just the SQL database as the PHP files can be downloaded from Sendy again at any time (assuming you maintain a license). My limited experience of restoring AWS full server backups is that they do not work…

"One-click Sendy installs? Sendy was designed for self hosting"
Maybe an install script could be developed that sets up Sendy, MySQL, Lets Encrpyt etc along the lines of Discourse:

@Martine -- email content issues depend on the email sending service.
For example, AWS SES has this Best Practice guide: in What hosting server do you use with Sendy? Comment by colcol February 2019

@humayun -- you need your own dedicated server for that size of list. Lots of different hosts available -- AWS, Digital Ocean, Linode etc. Check out this topic from the start for…

@Martine -- sorry, never used Easy Sendy and I don't have any Sendy hosted alternatives. You could always self host, after all Sendy was designed for self hosting. Probably cost …

I have wondered about people poking around the login page, too.
On a similar theme, the 'subscribe form HTML code' provided by Sendy carries the base URL of your Sendy installation.
So anyone could simply 'view page source' on you…

I love how users can create their own extra code to enhance Sendy -- well done @gavn8r.
Would the image pixel idea involve amending the existing Sendy code? Not ideal for …

I use the free Mailpoet pluguin for my emails. The plugin includes a drag and and drop editor for building custom emails, and there are various pre-built templates to choose from, too. The plugin may not be the very best around, but it is free, i…

@yongrem I use the standard Sendy form on my (WordPress) website with a little extra CSS. Within a few days of introducing the form, I received about 20 fake signups a day. The S…

AWS suggests considering subdomains as well:
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/tips-and-best-practices.html
I may have got this wrong, but I believe some sort of auto-RSS-to-email function has been a long-standing request for Sendy.
There was a thread some time ago about something similar:
in RSS feeds and Sendy Comment by colcol March 2018Here are two ideas... not sure if either are bright though.
Assuming List A contains all your names, and List B is to contain only those giving permission.
Send a campaign to List A asking them to click a button if they give permi…
Hi texasjohn, all makes sense -- many thanks for confirming what I had suspected.

Let me start by writing that Ben should be applauded for producing Sendy and allowing ordinary bloggers etc the chance to use Amazon SES and its cheap email -- rather than be stuck with Mailchimp etc.
