Just as a heads-up, MailChimp's documentation on this is here:
http://kb.mailchimp.com/merge-tags/smart/how-conditional-or-smart-merge… -
Is there an update on this? The feature request is now well over 12 months old and it's impossible to do any a/b testing or content segmentation without it.
This…

As Sendy isn't an open source project, I don't really advocate hacking the code around. Version control becomes a big issue then.
It doesn't feel like Sendy is being very actively developed for new features at the moment though, which is …

PS. It would be useful if both the subject and body could be amended - as then this would enable a form of A/B testing to be run as well. Two birds with one stone in If then logic Comment by addactive June 2014

The problem with making custom edits is that it makes keeping up with releases more challenging.. I'm hoping this could be adopted in the core Sendy. @Ben ?
-
Good idea!

Is there any further news on this @Ben?
To explain in more detail, let's say I have an email about offers on new brands of cars. When people sign up, they can tick VW, Ford, …

Agree, invaluable suggestion

Hi @Ben. Any news on this?

Any news on this one at all @Ben ? It's becoming increasingly important to us.
-
Would be good to see more detail about user agents, that's for sure.
-
This is getting more and more important to me. Do you have any idea about if/when it might be possible to add?

+1 from me - I've needed this twice in the last two days. Currently resorting to looking directly at the database with SQL!

+1 for the RSS

@Ben,
We're much less concerned about how people's interests are maintained than we are the ability to use logic to personalise the emails sent.
Rather than just simp…

+1, but presumably you could also just request higher sending limits from SES?

Hi @Ben,
I was thinking on this some more. Probably two things would help:
1) On the list of lists page, to have a little search box in the top right hand corner, lik…

I thought emails with CID reference attachments were generally flagged as being more likely to be spam?

I had this. It was because I'd FTPd the files up to the server in auto or text mode, rather than specifically binary. If you reupload the files in binary mode, it should fix it (assuming it's the same problem!).

Just have multiple Sendy installations presumably? It's not exactly expensive!

Hi @jpvdpoel,
Because we often segment the database when running a campaign (and produce a new list as a result), we may have a number of lists which are difficult to ke…

Hi @jpvdpoel,
Pretty much, yes. Though the point you make about the specific subscriber list, it would actually be interesting to have an option this work across all lis…

We can always write our own API if necessary, no big deal. I'm sure lots of people would find it useful.
-
So, what about the concept of a "never mail" list then. Is that something you would consider adding?

This isn't actually such a big deal as duplicating the values in phpmyadmin is easy enough. Would be nice for non-techy users though I imagine.
-
Might be interesting to look at push options as well as pull (e.g. setting up triggered actions via http for events such as unsubscribe).

Hi Ben,
That's the top priority (updating the contact_canemail flag rather than removing altogether), yes. For unsubscribes, bounces and spam reports.

Re the CSV import, that's only if you're importing into the same list. It won't work if you're importing into another segmented list.
Good news on the bounces though. Does that work in the same way for spam complaints?
